
(Sild i eddike)
Any left-over herrings (from Fried herrings) are delicious when pickled.
 
For the marinade: 
3 parts vinegar to 1 part water 
Salt and black peppercorns 
Sugar to taste 
Onion rings 
 
Boil up the vinegar, water, spices and sugar. 
Cool a little, and add the fried herrings. 
Leave for a day before serving. 
Decorate with onion rings and serve with rye-bread and butter.
